PennDOT Invites Public to View Online Plans Display for N. College Street (Route 501) Culvert Replacement Project in Lebanon County
Information will be available to view online from June 29 until July 29.
The project involves removing the existing structure and replacing it with a pre-cast box culvert. The new structure will include concrete wing walls and rock scour protection at each end. Minor approach roadway work including pavement reconstruction on Route 501 (North College Street). Rock slope protection and guide rail upgrades will also be performed. The horizontal and vertical roadway geometry will closely match the existing geometry. The roadway and bridge will be slightly widened to accommodate 12-foot lanes and 5-foot shoulders; providing a 34-feet curb-to-curb width.
Route 501 will be detoured during construction.
The project is currently in design, and construction is expected to occur during the summer 2028 construction season.
The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project and solicit public input, questions, or concerns regarding the project.
A digital version of the information will be available to view online with comments accepted from June 29, 2026, to July 29, 2026.
